 Rinske Wagenaar showed her artistic side at an early age. As a child she was always creating one thing or another. Designing and sewing for dolls and later Barbie dolls. In her youth she experimented with pottery and sculpting. She was awarded in street drawing competitions and art classes many times.
While a young woman she worked with media such as sewing, crocheting, knitting and doll making. But, married with children forced her to get a money making job. In 1984 Rinske obtained her Real Estate license and used her creative skills while selling homes.
In 2004 she closed her Real Estate offices in pursuit of a career that would enable her to combine Real Estate with family time, artistic time and some enjoyment of life. Then one day her daughter introduced her to handmade beaded jewelry trough a gift and voila, a hobby was born. But, the hobby grew and - how many necklaces and earrings can a girl own. Compliments came, followed by requests for custom orders and home jewelry parties.
Rinske now displays and sells her “one of a kind” necklaces and earrings in galleries and stores in Ontario. The beads, pearls and pendants are her inspiration. The fun is in the buying and imagining all possible creations; then putting them together to compliment each other. The finished pieces are now waiting for a place to hang out. She hopes it will be around your neck or on your ears.
