Becky first discovered hot glass in early 2008 after stumbling upon a lampwork bead class at Bavin Glassworks in Invermere, British Columbia.
She had always had a passion for colour and shape, but until this point had not found a media that felt like a natural fit. After taking the class where she learned to wind molten glass into wearable pieces of art, Becky became more involved with the glass shop. She found a position working in the Bavin's gallery and eventually started teaching the very class that had led the her obsession with glass.
Becky now resides in Newcastle, Ontario and continues to create intricate glass beads over her torch. All of her beads are kiln annealed for strength and durability. She finds inspiring colour combinations and patterns everywhere, whether from nature or man made items like fabrics and print.
