As a young man I left the farm to become a lumberjack. I then worked to build a railroad from Seven Islands in Quebec to Schefferville.
From there I helped to build a defense line on the 55th Parallel from the Atlantic Ocean to the Hudson Bay.
When I came back south, I settled in Toronto, met my wife and started a family. I worked as a mechanic, and sold turf equipment.
I retired 12 years ago and travelled through the
Southern U.S. That is when I started carving. I joined a carving club in Texas and won several awards. That is when I discovered I could carve anything I could draw.
I find it to be a very relaxing and a worthwhile hobby.
