Jeweller, Photographer, Stained-glass artist: I have always been attracted to natural elements. I used to focus on photography and the images were often trees or rocks. Before that I had done an apprenticeship in stained glass and loved to work with the medium of glass, both strong and fragile at the same time.
At the present time I am enjoying working with rough-hewn stones and gems, pearls and shells to make jewelry that allows the wearer to feel and play with the elements themselves.
I work part-time at the Globe and Mail as a graphic-artist, live in Newcastle with my husband and two children and stay up too late at night to make jewelry.
