March Break Classes 2012 - Exploring Art for Ages 5 to 12
Monday is for is for Bird Enthusiasts - Birdhouse making – Homemade Bird treats
- Bird painting. We will create "Christmas for the Birds" by providing a winter's treat for our feathered friends!
Tuesday Native Crafts - We will explore native art. We will make a collage in the style of Norval Morriseau, Bead-work or Paint on Suede to make bracelets or bookmarks,
make a wallet using stamping, Create Inuit prints, and snow snakes.
Wednesday and Thursday are for Theatre Enthusiasts - Puppetry
Puppets of all kinds – finger puppets, sock puppets, marionettes.
We will design and create our puppets on Wednesday.
Thursday we will work on creating the set and play for the puppet show.
A DVD of the Puppet show will be given to each camper.
Friday is for Young Masters
Explore the worlds of: Drawing, Painting (Watercolour, Acrylic), Sculpture, and Printmaking.
Inspire the artist within!

Kid's Mix Media -Instructor Alexis Cooke – Develop your crafting skills in this class experimenting with a variety of media such as paper mache, cardboard, textiles, acrylic painting and more!

Portrait Class 12+ - Instructor Alexis Cooke – Develop your skills in drawing faces from photos and a live model. Use mediums including pencil, charcoal, conte, chalk pastel, acrylic and watercolour.

Calligraphy 12+ - Instructor Alexis Cooke – Explore the ancient art of calligraphy and illumination! Explore a different ‘hand’ or style each week using quills, pens and brushes. Bring your favourite poems and passages!
