 David now resides in Oshawa with his wife Marilynn. He started woodworking after he noticed rigamortus setting in from watching TV.
After years of trying styles and media, the sculptures started to emerge.
As a self trained artist using his technical skill, he developed his style of art form that satisfied his creative side but stayed within his technical abilities. With constant experimentation with wood types and finishes, a style that fulfills the artistic side and the creative side was achieved.
His style, is the flow of smooth curves incorporated into a piece to develop an unusual sculpture. Most sculptures are meant to be handled, so the person can fully enjoy the the natural beauty of the wood and design. Some sculptures have been painted to highlight the design as the wood type may be “uninteresting”.
